What is IPL – Intense Pulse Light?
It is a new, incredible and exciting way to improve and rejuvenate the skin. IPL emits a broad spectrum of light with each pulse to treat a variety of skin imperfections at once. The light is then converted to heat energy that it is absorbed by the melanin, blood vessels and the surrounding tissues giving to a more youthful appearance.

What does it treat?
A skin rejuvenation technique includes different skin conditions for the improvement in hyper-pigmentation, pore size, rosacea, spider veins or broken capillaries, moderate to severe acne, age and sun-spots as well as hair reduction.

What happens during the treatment?
A slight sensation of heat is expected. To minimize discomfort the therapist will apply a cooling gel on the skin during the treatment.

What should I expect after the treatment?
Redness can be expected which normally resolves within 24-hours. A cooling pad may be used on the treated area. Sun block and moisturizers must be used after treatment.

When should I expect results?
Depending on the condition, many see a visible difference after one treatment. Typically, a series of treatments is recommended to achieve optimal results. It is advisable to have 6-8 sessions with 4 weeks interval.

What aftercare do I need?
Application of sunscreen with SPF 30 and avoidance of direct sunlight before and after treatment should be considered.
